Hi UBC KIN! My name is Asami and I am running to be your next VP Academic! 

Throughout my undergrad I have been able to become an academic coach, an advocate of mental health and wellness, and a volunteer at a fitness class for elderly populations. All of these amazing opportunities that have ultimately brought me closer to the kinmunity have been thanks to what the School of Kin and the KUS have to offer. On account of the extent to which these experiences have enhanced my time in KIN, I would like to spend this last portion of my journey giving back to the community that made me feel seen and welcome by doing my utmost effort to make it even better.
